Other ingredients of this parasites cleanse are grapefruit seed extract, garlic, sage leaf, quassia stem wood, ginger, pumpkin seeds and Aloe vera.
Pathogenic gut resident microbes can cause several health problems like IBS type of symptoms. They can also cause joint pain, skin rashes, mood and mental dysfunction, fatigue, sugar cravings and many others.
It is quite easy to pick up parasites especially if you regularly eat raw food like salad and sushi, uncooked meats, use public toilets, travel to exotic countries, have pets in your house, have schooling children etc.
I personally perform a yearly parasites cleanse no matter what, as a prevention. If you keen, you can test for parasites through a stool analysis.
Microscopic parasites can also migrate from our digestive system into our blood streams. From here they can reach all parts of the body and nest there. In fact, they can live in our liver, joints and even brain, causing all sort of problems. Scary!
Study:
This study shows that intestinal parasite infections in early childhood may be associated with children’s later psychological wellbeing. From that study: “At arrival in new home country, internationally adopted children often have intestinal parasites. International adoptees also exhibit more behavioral problems than their biological peers. We examined whether intestinal parasite infections in international adoptees on arrival in Finland are associated with their later behavioural and emotional problems.
Of the 1293 families, parents of 206 adoptive children reported intestinal parasites in their adopted children on arrival. Parasite-infected children had subsequently higher CBCL problem scores than the children without parasites (p < 0.001). The association between intestinal parasites and later behavioural problems was stronger than that between intestinal parasites and any other factors measured in this study, except disability.
In this study, intestinal parasite infections in early childhood may be associated with children’s later psychological wellbeing, even in children who move to a country with a low prevalence of parasites. Our findings may support further developments pertaining to the gut-brain theory.”
